Jelly Toast's Watermelon Rum Punch is a fruity and refreshing drink that's great for summer parties or any time you want a taste of the tropics. It's a great mix of sweet and sour tastes, made with fresh watermelon, white rum, lime juice, and a splash of sparkling water.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups watermelon chunks
- 1 cup white rum
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1/4 cup simple syrup
- 1 cup sparkling water
- Ice cubes
- Lime slices and watermelon wedges for garnish
Instructions:
In a blender, puree the watermelon chunks until smooth
Strain the watermelon puree through a fine mesh sieve into a large pitcher to remove pulp
Add white rum, fresh lime juice, and simple syrup to the pitcher
Stir until well combined
Fill glasses with ice cubes
Pour the watermelon rum mixture over the ice, leaving some space at the top
Top off each glass with sparkling water and gently stir
Garnish with lime slices and watermelon wedges
